IN CEBU, MEETING THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON

The Yap- San Diego Heritage House in Pari-an, Cebu is motherfucking jurassic. Over 300 years tops. As grand as a haunted mansion. Smells like one, too.

It does not help that it is filled with antiques that probably belonged to The Addam’s Family. Hell, the entire house may have been their original property all along.

Every single thing here vibrated to the tune of space and time. So old and dead each piece is alive. I wasn’t sure if my insides were getting vacuumed or my soul was expanding while walking around the house.

Creepy as fuck is an understatement. Still, it is beautiful. In a ghoulish kind, but still beautiful.

I’m not new to old houses. I breathe Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar. But the Yap-San Diego Heritage House takes the cake. It beats a parade of everything in Las Casas put in a sandwich.

However, I don’t fancy a return visit here. My aspirations in life don’t include meeting the creature from the black lagoon.

The girl is out. Peace!

                  1. With luck I won’t be stuck in a flooded situation or rain, I gotta do some serious bargain hunting, At least I found a place in Makati that rents for 32/night though works out to bout 500 for the length of stay 🙂

  1. I think I would enjoy the creepy house. Maybe even write a story about it. A dark story where two ghouls fall desperately in love and struggle to break free from the shackles of their vampire master, the evil Count Dragomire who lost his human love a thousand years ago and can’t stand to see the ghouls happy.

Yep, I think the pictures you posted inspired me.
