PROCESSION OF FOOD + A TANGLE OF LIMBS

Just look at this and try not to feel something. A never ending parade of doughnuts and dreams come true. Hot and fresh. Glistening. LOOK AT IT. Have you ever seen anything so beautiful?

Earlier, I got stuck in a bad rain and passed the time watching this glorious procession. I wanted to stay forever. But there is so much food out there and so little time.

These I had a couple of days ago before visiting a jiujitsu gym. I know the pros may say these are not the best food choices for training but life is short.
Jiujitsu is damn cool, btw. 93 million miles from my practice but still fascinating. What I know with muay thai is direct striking, stand up, and hard clinching. Jiujitsu is soft and very smooth. Power and flexibility are utilized in a very different manner.

Also, no blood! The potentiality of broken bones and collapsed lung remain though, aren’t you glad?

Truthfully, I have always found jiujitsu intimidating. It just seems so intimate. Stretches of time when someone grapples and grabs you everywhere. Or you mounting, crawling, and writhing above the other person.

All the damn time you two are a tangle of limbs. It sounds sexy but with strangers in practice it proves a bit awkward, doesn’t it?

  1. You know it’s not ethical to post picture of Krispy Kreme when it’s so hard for some of your readers to attain their glazey goodness. Now I have to add that to my checklist for the next time I’m in Bangkok.
